The MAPSYS Collaboration MAP is a professional consulting service designed to provide direction in improving organizational effectiveness and efficiency by harnessing the collective knowledge of the organization and facilitating its use by employees, partners and customers.
Studies show that while 80% of IT budgets are spent on structured database systems, only 4% of an organization’s data assets are housed there. 16% of an organization’s data assets are unstructured data in the form of spreadsheets, Word documents, etc. 80% of an organization’s data assets reside only in employees’ minds.
MAPSYS can help with a thorough analysis of the myriad options available for successfully utilizing these assets. Through interviews with your staff, MAPSYS can assist you in creating a document that identifies messaging, document management, teamwork and portal initiatives, alternative approaches to address them, an initial implementation plan and a scope of effort to execute the plan. The plan also includes training approaches to make you self-sufficient.
Scope of Work
Collect information using the Collaboration workbook
Define alternative approaches with advantages / disadvantages of each
Per Client input, choose a preferred collaboration approach
Prepare Report including: Preferred collaboration approach, why the approach is preferred, initial implementation plan, Statement of Work to perform collaboration project including training staff in collaboration techniques.
Customer will be responsible for:
- Participation in up to 2 interviews to define user requirements
- Collection of information (System Configuration information, performance data, software environment, ptf levels, network configuration, etc) in the Workbook provided by MAPSYS
- Participate in Presentation Meeting
- Final decision on Collaboration Initiatives

Schedule for Road Map:
- Kick off and Conduct initial interview 2 hrs (CIO, designated staff)
- Collect Collaboration Workbook info 2 hrs (CIO, designated staff)
- First draft of RoadMap MAPSYS only
- Review Roadmap with Client 2 hrs (CIO, designated staff)
- Final draft of Road Map MAPSYS only
- Presentation 2 hrs (CIO, designated staff)
