With this approach, your staff quickly learns the basics of a product, but then we go on to develop a production application according to your requirements. Pitfalls of Traditional IT Training
Traditional IT training courses cover canned topics that may not even be of value to your company. For example, some firms offer 23 days worth of classes on various aspects of Lotus Domino training. At $1,000 a day, you could spend a lot of time and money to learn about most of the features in this product. However, you will also spend most of that time and money learning about features that are irrelevant in your environment. Furthermore, this training is only in a "test" environment and the examples given are trivial. Actually transferring such knowledge to an implementation in your company's production environment often proves elusive. |
